Frequently asked questions

Here are some of the questions we get asked most often. We hope this helps you feel confident and excited about your upcoming paddle boarding tour with Exploring With Lauren Marine Life Tours!

What are the most common questions people ask you about your paddle boarding tours?

1. Where do you paddle board?
We cover areas in Estero, Fort Myers, and Cape Coral. I always plan trips around the tide to make sure paddling is smooth and safe.

2. What wildlife will we see?
It depends on where we go! Some areas have higher chances of spotting manatees, while others are better for dolphins. I can help choose the location based on what you hope to see.

3. How long are the tours?
Weekday tours are typically 2 hours in the morning. Weekend tours are 3 hours or more, and you can request longer tours if you’d like.

4. Do I need experience paddle boarding?
Not at all! I guide every level, from beginners to advanced paddlers, and give all the tips you need to feel comfortable on the water.

5. Can I book a private tour?
Absolutely! Private tours give you the flexibility to pick the time, duration, and focus—whether it’s wildlife spotting, photography, or just a relaxing paddle.

What if the weather is bad?

Tours are planned around safe weather and tide conditions. If the weather is unsafe, I offer rescheduling or flexible planning.

What are the most important details or requirements that customers should know before booking a tour?

1. Tour Locations & Timing:
I paddle in Estero, Fort Myers, and Cape Coral. Weekday tours are in the morning (2 hours), and weekend tours are 3 hours or more. Longer tours are possible if requested in advance.

2. Wildlife Sightings:
Sightings of manatees, dolphins, and other wildlife depend on the area and tide. I can help choose the best spot based on what you hope to see.

3. Experience Level:
No experience is required! I provide guidance for beginners and tips for experienced paddlers.

4. Clothing & Gear:
Wear comfortable, water-friendly clothing. Sunscreen, hats, and water shoes are recommended. I provide the paddle board, paddle, and safety equipment.

5. Health & Safety:
You should be able to swim. Tours are planned around safe tides and conditions, but if weather is unsafe, we may need to reschedule.

6. Private Tours & Custom Requests:
Private tours are available for more personalized experiences, including specific wildlife focus, photography, or extended paddles.

7. Booking & Cancellation:
Book in advance to secure your preferred date and time. Canceling or rescheduling should be done as early as possible to ensure flexibility.

I’ve never paddle boarded before. What if I can’t do it?

Reassure them that no experience is needed. Emphasize that you provide guidance, safety instruction, and tips so everyone can enjoy the tour comfortably, even first-timers.

Will I actually see wildlife?

While wildlife sightings can’t be guaranteed—because animals roam freely—you’ll have a very high chance of seeing manatees, dolphins, and a variety of birds depending on the area we paddle. I plan tours around the best tides and locations to maximize sightings, and many guests are amazed at how close the animals come! The beauty of these tours is that you get to experience wildlife in its natural habitat, up close and personal, in a way most people never do.
